T5 is a better motor to start with anyway - less re-inventing the wheel with performance parts (there's already a good selection). /since become a T5 fanboi
Looking back, I'm sure it's a drag car, but I'd have gone with the IRS out of an S90/V90. Composite transverse leaf ftw.
