Insurance went down quite a bit this time, from $1788 to $1477 for a 06 Audi A4 Wagon.

Also how long do convictions and accidents stay on your record, I have an accident from 2004 and one speeding ticket from 2006 still on my driver's abstract.

I checked with statefarm, belair, and Johnson.

My rates are still the best with TDMM \:\(

$120ish for the M3
$100 for the civic.

House is $5x.xx or 63 with tax / month.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I have a speeding ticket that is 5 years old and an accident that is 7 years old, still on my driving abstract.

Also I'm with RBC.

No point for me to switch, I was under the impression I only had 1 ticket, apparently it's 2

One comes off next year, the the other in 2013.

Pretty sure it's 3 for tickets and 7 for accidents.

Just renewed with Desjardins. Will be paying about $1300 now. My previous provider was Pembridge, they wanted $1800/yr on renewal. F that. This is a '99 SiR, no tickets, no accidents.

I shop around every year!

the f'n companies don't care how long you've been with them.. they don't have any loyalty to existing customers.

When I called for pricing for my new car, I gave my broker a list of other similar vehicles. lol at the FRS. I guess the insurance companies have already rated them high in anticipation of all the Initial D shenanigans that will be happening this summer.

Genesis Coupe 2.0T $1300
Genesis Coupe V6 $1345
Mustang V6: $1366
Volks GTI 2dr Hatch: $1398
BRZ: $1442
BMW M3 Coupe: $1475
Mustang GT: $1518
Honda Civic SI: $1528
Corvette: $1538
FRS: $1547
Subaru WRX 5 Door: $1583

^yeah, pretty much what i did with TDMM ins. i have - gave them a list and got quotes for each. pricing is unfairly stupid still.

2010 Honda Fit was coming in at like $121/month...$1452/yr gtfo
clean record.

yup.. shit makes zero sense...

they should just have it set as a % of what the car's MSRP is..

then have multipliers for things like driving record, postal code.. and discounts accordingly..

IMO it shouldn't matter if there's more or less of a certain car on the road

I was on the phone with TDMM for close to an hour last year when I moved over and there are two issues with TDMM and Markham. Because Markham has so many young professionals and because TDMM caters to professionals in general there is some really retarded pricing out there. They have a high concentration of insured vehicles and Markham happens to be one of their hot spots for jacked up rates. Nothing can be done, especially when there are a ton of retarded drivers. I keep one car insured/registered at a different address or I'd be paying another $50/month more.

exactly.

after i added the R back in Dec, i was talking to one of the reps and they get to modify their rates (i think) it was every 2 yrs as per Gov. regulations. either up or down, etc. and reassess rates, postal codes/etc.

anyways, he mentioned it USED to be north of steeles (non M postal code) was decently cheaper), but as of about 1-2 yrs ago this is no longer the case, and it's proving to be true, FTL.

tell me about it
system is fucked.

yet for the sti with more power it was like 136/mnth lol. mind you the agent told me ins. takes into consideration how 'safe/newer' the car is more than they used too as well. plus the hatch was considered a wagon which dropped the rate. so essentially you could have a 2010 400+ hp audi s4 avant and pay less than someone in a 1998 civic/teg

i think a 2009 GTR for me was 145/month?
