Had one on my 83 Rabbit GTi and did absolutely nothing according to the butt-o-meter.

Just put it on yesterday and did the TB Coolant bypass since I had it off
supposed to have a dyno day for Saturday but not sure if it'll still be happening

Not really. I do notice a touch better response. I'll be on the dyno this afternoon. I started off at 188 with a CAI. I added the exhaust, TBS and bypass

With having the CAI, it pushes it out further into my rad hose. I added another pc. of hose to keep the heat off my intake elbow. I'm thinking of trimming my elbow about 1/4" so everything fits perfect

Just got back from the dyno. The spacer gave me 3 whp and 2 wtq....nice investment!

I was there for dyno day for 8thcivic. They let me change it while the car was still strapped...had 3 members helping. Did both a 3rd gear and 4th gear pull

This is the only sheet I have right now...waiting for him to e-mail me the rest...all in all I had about 8 pulls.

There was a loss of the signal on the second run so disregard that torque reading.

Was the TB bypass done on both passes or is that swinging the numbers?

That was on both numbers.....it doesn't look like it added anything. I had the same numbers as the last time I dynoed without the bypasss

uhh yeah your dyno must really be off cause mustang dynos usually read lower numbers compared to other dynos. Are you sure you wernt on a hub dyno or dyno dynamics dyno????

It's when you bypass the coolant from the TB. There is a coolant line running from the engine to the TB and back out to a tube. I just re-routed it from the block to the tube. The DIY states to buy a hose. You don't need to, just use one of the ones you disconnect. By the end of the month, I'll be putting it back due to living in the NE and I'll need the coolant in the cold weather more than 1 hp

hahaha i did the original write up on this mod back in early 06, its not called a TB bypass its called a coolant bypass. i was thinking damn if you actually bypassed the TB how the hell would your car run hahahaha,, i was confused because of the way it was worded, sorry.
