UPDATE #4:
Schedule's been finalized... AGAIN
8:30 - Meet at usual spot in Newhall. We'll choose 1 of 2 routes to drive.
9:00 SHARP - Head for SLO via the best backroads in So Cal
12:30-1:00 - Meet up at Arroyo Grande, Gas up and get supplies
1:00-2:30 - Head downtown to Branch Street Deli, famous for their Texas Tri Tip!
2:30-3:30 - Backyard joyride to world famous Tangent Winery
If you need directions to the Newhall meet spot PM me.

As many of you know the Newhall Pass is virtually shut down this week. Be sure to check back Friday morning to see if the meet spot has changed. Regardless, give yourself an axta 30 minutes travel time. People on the PM distro are listed below:

8:00-1:30 - Back road drive to SLO from North/South regions
1:30 - Meet up at Arroyo Grande
1:45-3:00 - Lunch
3:00-3:30 - Back yard joyride through wine country, photoshoot pit stop
3:30-4:00 - Taste test at the best winery in SLO; Those under 21 can still enjoy some cheese 'n crackers 
4:00-? - Shoot the breeze, begin trek back to North/South

Hey All,
Since NMS feel through, I'd like to organize a back road drive to San Luis Obispo where North and South can meet up this year. This would be an all day event with either a visit to wine country or Hearst Castle. Here's a list of potential dates:

Oct 27
Nov 3

A couple of added goodies for a little more zip and handling in the twistee canyons....
I would choose the 20th..

That's enough time to put in a vacation request. And where the hell is Dave? He needs to make sure he's not on call that day.
I'm tempted to grab the park again and set up a BBQ. I'll have more info in early September.

LOL. I won't be on call and there's a good chance I'll be able to make it but I wasn't saying anything because I was both feeling guilty about flaking in the past and because I can't commit to any day right now.
I'm personally indifferent to the 20th or 27th, but I'd suggest the 20th because the weekend before Halloween tends to conflict with parties.

Took a drive this weekend on the new suspension. Found a route that gets us to SLO in 3 hrs.
