I've got fast enough lenses (17-55 2.8, 100macro 2.8), just not fast enough me action - lol. There's so many times I know one is getting ready, I start to get ready, they twitch, I shoot, they stay, then they jump - lol.

Mitchell's fish market. It's a national chain of 'fresh fish caught daily' place. My Mom actually ordered it, just she never finishes anything and I'm on a kick of try everything at least once.

Bill should have bought the 17-55 to begin with. It is the best EF-S lens made without question. The $1100 tag is steep, but once you get the lens, no regrets. I will always keep a crop body around just for that lens.
*Forgot - The penguin I was shooting was almost in the dark. It was in the back of the indoor exhibit. The lighting was from heat lamps... I mean bad, so I desaturated them to salvage the image. I'll try to catch one in mid-air next time I visit.

Me, not the kids. I didn't feel like pulling the ABs out so I opted to hang my speedlite and a white bounce umbrella. I believe this was at 1/4 power, triggered with the cactus v4, shot with my 18-55mm lens.

I've been at this hobby for about a year now and am already shooting film again myself. Cool pics - what body / lens did you use? The nikon + 35-70 in your member info? Looks great.

I certainly didn't add any saturation to the original, but I did like the effect of pulling some yellow out, as seen below:
The sun just made that grass particularly vibrant that evening.

I liked the first version a lot better, it just seems much clearer and sharper without all that scattering. But at any rate an excellent pic. Well done sir.
