 i was just giggling endlessly about this cheap softbox to the left. cheap umbrella to the right. polarizer on a 17-40 at 17, held out in front of me that's *not* herp. i tore a hair out of an ingrown. luckily i don't get paid to be pretty 
Shoulda picked a non-reflective background. I can see the umbrella and the softbox in the picture frame behind you.

so a month ago, i mentioned shooting a 300SL from the local cars & coffee...
a couple weeks ago, i finally had a little time to shoot his portrait at his house. plan on going back and shooting more at some point. i'm more of an environmental portrait guy, rather than straight car photographer. anyway, i'm really happy the way this turned out. the 11x17 print looks amazing!

Lafora: nice pics. I really need to start practicing on some fruit or veggies or something. I don't have any lights or backdrops but I can at least practice setting up and taking shots at the right angle.
Here's mine from Thursday night, college night. Lots of underagers at the bar....

would've been awesome had it been iso 200, f/22 @ 1/15
would've gave you the same exposure but at least the water would have some blur.
