225 for 5x5. I know a lot of you guys squat way heavier, but a year ago at this time I couldn't have done 225 for 3 one time. Something satisfying about putting 2 plates on the bar.
loosely following starting strength. I think 5x5 is pretty standard and it has gotten me this far. I know it is common to switch to a a 3x5 if you are starting to stall out, but I am not there yet. I want to do a 1 rep max soon. Last time I did it it was 235... lol. I think I can beat that.
edit: as the weight gets heavier I will start to taper my warmups. something like
bar x 5 135 x 5 185 x 3 225 x 1 workload 5x5
more edit: My rest in the warmup is minimal, just enough time to add the load to the bar. in between the 5x5 load I rest 2-3:00. I set a timer (that is the beeping you hear at the beginning of the video).

you should easily be able to put up 300+ for 1... those 5 went up like butter...
I wouldn't rush towards that, you banged the 5 out pretty solid but 3 out of 5 were quality. you did manage to stay on your heels through the set so that's a start. Just need to work on your torso strength so you're not so far forward. I had to do 231x5 today with 200m row sprints right after each set. I wish I got a video of me trying to do that first set without warming up. It was pretty godamned hilarious.
