I don't think you can stay out of boost with a supercharger.

Pretty sure there is a valve that keeps it from building boost except under load.

ok so im thinking about supercharging my 08 si but i want to know if there is a major difference in gas the noticed or if its still similar my buddy sold his cause he now uses 40% more gas

Yea, if you stay outta boost, the mpg shouldn't change. Just gotta do the foot mod. I don't think you can stay out of boost with a supercharger. With positive displacement superchargers (roots, twin screw) you can't, unless there is some sort of bypass valve.
The Eaton supercharger system incorporates a specially designed bypass valve, which is actuated by a vacuum motor near the throttle body, and recirculates the supercharger air flow when boost is not required. During typical driving conditions, the engine is under boost around 5% of the time, which means the remaining 95% of the time the engine is under vacuum, allowing for better fuel economy and a quieter ride.

my kit came with a bypass valve.
is that really why crack got rid of his car paul? thats part of it, mostly it was because he wants to buy a house and didnt want a car payment

how do you like it? is it extremly loud ? yep I do, its only loud when i want it to be, ive had the Magnaflow, Skunk2 60 mm and 70mm and settled on the Evo2, its my favorite! woot

It's next to impossible to qualify for a loan with a sizeable car payment. And many lenders are requiring 20% down.
