Well, some loser clipped my 00 Si and I spun into a van and now my Si is totaled. I'm pretty mad but im getting around 9k from the insurance company. Also, my parents are fronting me a couple thousand because I have rims to sell and they want to make sure this next car is nice and reliable. So I have around 15-18k.

I was thinking a new 06-07 Si, RSX type-S, WRX, 99 Eclipse (GST or GSX).
And the thing is I can't get some twin turbo 300ZX with 300hp because my insurance would be off the walls.
Anything under 50k mi would be nice, any thanks for any comments...

stay away from a 95-99 turbo eclipse if you want something reliable.

+1, the RSX type S's K20A2 responds very well to bolt-ons for power and is very reliable. The WRX isn't a bad option either. If you looking to build a turbo car a IS300 is a good platform, it has the same I-6 the 90's supra had and can easily handle a far amount of boost with the stock engine, its also RWD. \:\)

Yeah I was looking at IS300's but literally there wasn't a single one in 100 miles with a manual transmission. So they're pretty rare. What do you guys think about the new Si's? I really want to go and test drive all these and see how they drive. Well let me ask this, what would you get?

If you get an IS300 you want to swap engines to ditch the NA 2j and go with the factory F/I model. If you want to spend 20k and get a good daily driver get an RSX-S. Boltons+reflash +coils+shocks+anti-roll bars. Rims+tires. Set.

If you want a car to mod at all get a WRX but insurance might be a bit high. Or get an SRT-4.

I recommend another Si or the RSX Type S. Don't get an eclipse, there definitely not reliable cars from personal experience. But if you get an Si or the RSX, insurance will still be affordable and not to mentions all the modifications you can do to them.
