lol cheers to johnso for tearin this guy a new one. When I saw his last post, I thought his whole business was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. He's missing one important ingredient in his combo of throw pillows and boobie tassles. He needs the igloo cooler you can throw in the back so your expresso stand execs can drink themselves to death after realizing how lame they are.

Tearing me a new one? lol, yeah. Okie dokie, if you say so. I'm so sad, and hurt, and I think I'll go cry now. If you think he tore me a new anything, you're as big an idiot as he is.

Jesus titty fucking Christ it is shocking how you suck yourself off about your amazing ridez. What you don't seem to understand is that it's your attitude that's really shining through and continuing the curb-stomp-fest on your JDM slack jaw.

You're just a giant douche bag. Go ahead and cry 17 pages later about how you don't care and this is all just for fun, but you'd argue just like this and probably be even more sickening in person. You just drop way too many bullshit JDM references and justifications for you not to be the real deal douche.

Sorry dude, but you're wrong. I'm one of those people that make friends real easy. I can talk with younger or older people with no problem. You are an idiot though, and I'm having fun and being entertained with this thread.

My Si was clean.

As you've stated 25 times in the last several pages.....perhaps you should try to work it in a few more times so all of the idiots and morons making fun of you thoroughly understand your complete indifference.

Oh, that's definitely the "M" of Hondas. Just like every other lowered Civic with wheels. You completely differentiated yourself by being so incredibly clean in your EXEcution.

Upgraded brake pads aren't a mod? I consider anything you do to a car, that wasn't the way it came, or what it came with to be a change from the original factory spec, so therefore a mod.

Kumho Ecsta 711

See, I told you he was a fucking poser. He spent a pile of money on generic off the shelf mods and then bought a bunch of generic semi-performance tires.

Contrast with my sohc non-vtec autocross EF civic. This was the daily driven trim after I quit autocrossing:
-airbox resonator delete (to make it easier to work on engine bay)
-trunk brace (not ES legal, but I got it for like 20 bucks lol coupon) Did DC sports make this? I can't remember.
-tokico illuminas (full soft front, full hard rear)
-205/60/13 kumho victoracers on stock steel wheels(yes, they used to make this size)
-some generic semi-race pads, either hawk HPs or something similar
-Not totally sure, but I think I ran 35 psi front, 25 psi rear in the tires.

Note that despite the lack of jdm sweet mods, my car was likely way faster in everything except accleration. The car even handled neutrally thanks to my ghetto tire pressure mod. I got 13k miles out of the victoracers.

And the car was actually capable of pwning people from a roll. All I had to do was dive bomb some corners and dipshits with ecsta 711s would fly into the guardrail.

Once again, you've got it all figured out. You must be teh supar smarts.

I bet your car could beat just about anything ever made. Ecsta 711's while only H rated, were known for good handling, they blew away the Toyo's I had which cost 2x. When I auto-x'd the car, I did just fine with them, usually in the top 5 of 25 or so in class.

I had Bridgestone Potenza RE71-R's on my RX7, does that make you happy?

I might give you a pass on the brake pads, if the AEMs are truly a decent pad. Though I haven't seen "AEM Brake Pads" on the side of any nationals winning autocrosser or runoffs winning race car, so I doubt they're much more than more riceboy mental masturbation.

But the fluid? The fucking FLUID?! Are you going to convince us that your post-lunch shit was a weight reduction "mod" next?

AEM pads are / were made by Nissin IIRC, it's been a pretty long time, I don't even know if AEM is still in business.

Wtf are you even talking about? Do you understand that the letter rating of a tire has nothign to do with how much grip it has?

Also, I had kumho victoracers, not toyos if you care to read my post. Those are R-compound tires.

Kumhos tire line goes something like this
Pure slick- V710
Quick wear r-compound (autox, etc)- Ecsta V700
Slow wear r-compound (enduro)- V700 Victoracer
High perf street tire- Ecsta MX
Low perf street tire- Ecsta 711
Rolling on billiard balls lol no grip- Ecsta SPR? (I think)

Anyway the difference between R-compound and the various street models is enormous. Not something you can appreciate till you try them. It lets the car perform seemingly impossible feats of traction. The car just grips and grips long after you feel you should have flown off into space.

edit: and AEMs are a decent performance street pad. I liked them on my civic, at least in comparison to autozone pads.

Bitch, don't even front with that R-comp shit. This guy's driven a Nascar. A fucking NASCAR! R-comps are so amateur that you shouldn't even talk about them.

It just blows my mind when someone tries to argue about tire grip using the mph rating of the tire. The concept of comparing an Ecsta 711 to a real tire or god forbid an R-comp is just incredible.

And the hilarious amount of money he spent on do-nothing mods is also blowing my mind. It is almost like he opened up Tirerack.com and picked the cheapest spring/shock kit for his car from the list. Tokico HP with eibach springs? Also worth noting, the ricer section of Summit Racing makes a strong showing in his powertrain. A muffler and a DC Sports header?

After looking over his mod list I would say he gained 10% in the turning department and 2% in the acceleration and braking department. Oh and of course a 30% increase in the farty noise and ugly department.

The 711's are they uber cheap tire - bascially garbage. A lot of people had run the 712's with lower reviews and msot of them laughed at the 711's. Bascially competition for Nakang or whatever tire you get for $499 with rims.

He's owned more performance than any of us could hope to own. Volkswagen Jetta's, Honda Civics, 2g RX's, F150's and a Q45.

Don't forget his wife's cars either. Fatal error.

I had Bridgestone Potenza RE71-R's on my RX7, does that make you happy?

I was very happy with the 711's, and ran well in my autox class with them.

I had H&R, not Eibach, I don't like Eibach springs.

Dude, you're so full of shit. There is no autocross class in which 711s could do well. Even the old days of street touring much better tires were allowed in that class.

Edit: To make it clearer for you...

You massively cheaped out on the two biggest performance items- the shocks and the tires. All the other places you could have gone for a lot more speed (like the engine and so on) have do-nothing mods. The rest is rice and fluff. JDM shift knobs and front lips. It's just a pile of slow, buzzy faggotry.

I had Kumho 712's as a replacement for the stock tires when I had the Si. They weren't awful, but close. They were cheap, and I had no $$ for tires. I ended up getting a set of 711's later to throw on steel wheels for the winter (which I still have in the garage if anyone wants to buy them!). Now, those are some shit tires. Squealed in any sort of a turn, and even my underpowered car could spin the shit out of them.

It bothers me to see this mod list, because it's almost exactly what I had done to mine. I still say I miss mine, but as I grow up I realize it's the memories I miss, not the actual car.
