I don't remember seeing anything regarding the fuel filter itself. It might be located in the gas tank and not easily accessible.

Anyway, the Si is really simple to maintain, the Maintenance Minder will let you know when to take it in and what kind of service is needed.

Generally, "A" services are basic oil changes, "B" services involve a little more.

Yes it's in the tank but there is an access cover under the rear seat. With 180K on the car I think it should be changed.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to change it out with that type of mileage. On previous generations they were changed out every 105K. They usually don't fail; but they do clog over time and cause the fuel pump to work harder.

Ordered one from the dealer for $60 and picked it up today. Got it out of the tank and ready to swap the dozen or so parts included in the kit.

Wasn't too bad, maybe 2 hours work.

Ahh ok. 180k is a lot, I'm sure it needed a change either way.

Let me ask u a question. when u took that panel off there few i think 14mm bolts did and nuts on the other side fell off. the reason im asking is that i did a fuel injection cleaner service at my job and the only way to turn off the fuel pump is by unplugging it at the pump. if u pull the fuse it will shut the injectoers off and it wont work. so i did loose that nut and now i cant put that bolt back which drives me nuts

Dropping the tank? You're not talking about those 4 black round things in my picture?
