Anyone try All-Weather tires? Supposedly a step up between Al-Seasons and Snows.

how many winters do you guys use your winter tires for before springing for new ones?
since covid, we just don't put as much mileage as we normally would.
my x3 had close to 10 winters - and they were rock hard by the end so i decided to chuck them; luckily my uncle's used set (3-4 years old) barely had any mileage on them (10k at most combined for the winter)
wifey's car has about 4-5 yr on 2 of them (thanks to an epic pot hole last year, took 2 wheels out in the process).
both sets still feels "soft" on the tread when you press on them.

10 Winters wtf? Are you driving 5k per season? LOL
I get up to 4 seasons and then sell them off and buy new ones.

There was one tire, the OG General Altimax that would actually last an insane amount of Mileage/years. My wife's old car had them, they were the only set of winter tires the car ever got over her 10 year ownership, and she wasn't a 5k per season driver. They had something like 100k on them when I got rid of the car, dry rotted but I still had confidence in them!
4-6 seasons the most out you'll get out of the newer stuff.

I drive maybe 6k per year. The most I've kept a winter tire is 7 years and that last year was dicey. I think generally I prefer to keep my tires for 5 or 6 years max and go for new ones after. They seem to just feel hard and not grippy after that.
Even summer, once they get older, I feel they don't perform as well in the rain.
I rather pay for new tires than an alignment or deductible.

Since covid - probably less than 5k per season! LOL
I'm no real estate agent; and I don't like the cold - so we don't go nowhere!

With the amount of driving I do I'd be lucky to get 2-3 seasons out of tires lol. I probably get 2 seasons out of the rears only.

how much driving to you do per year; post-covid.
I did upwards to 50 to 60k per year pre-covid, but now Im doing about half that since we have the hybrid option and most of the meetings are now virtual.
