I water the plants and the garden, fuck the lawn (My lawn is shit anyhow)... But yeah as Jon said, been a good year for rain even up here. Lawn is pretty green!

I have one too but my grass has gone to crap. Everything is sh!t and I stopped caring. I need to get someone who knows wtf they are doing to take a look at it because i gave up.

I need this..  +1 I hate that shit. It grows everywhere. Want this stuff too to prep my backyard 
I need some of this too. tired of random spots of grass coming through the end of the interlock.
I think my summer of lawn care failed miserably. I pulled weeds, seeded, fertilized and watered like a pro. Was nice and think and green back in May.
Now it looks like ass. Weeds like crazy (even more then back in the spring), some spots are thick and green, others brown and thin.

it's weird a couple of weeks ago when it was colder i had a weed explosion. had to use the usa weed-be-gone again and threw down some more seed.

I think part of the problem is that Im down wind from a few of the inventory homes and their 3 feet tall weeds that the builder never cuts. The wind probably blows the seeds/spore from the weeds all over the place. All the homes around me look the same and full of weeds.
I never did get around to buying the good shit from the USA either.

So let's talk fall prep, what's everyone doing?
Gonna cut the grass low with the bag at the end of Oct. dethatch, re-seed & fertilize. Might do a sand/soil mixture to level it out some more....maybe.

I got these a few weeks ago from a coworker who went to Buffalo...whoot 
I already cut the lawn fairly short, dethatched a bit, over seeded, and fertilized a few weeks ago and my grass is getting long. Will probably wait until end of October to do it all over again but fertilize with that winter stuff.

honestly all i do is a good raking, one last mowing when the time is right, then winter fertilizer...good to go from then on.
+1 about the wind affecting the lawn...im on a semi busy road and we get allllllllllll the shit blown down the street from the nearby school front yard area. all the lower part of the lawns (gov part) loaded with weeds n crap.

i'm also going to make a cheap sprinkler system, T off of the hose feed, bury some flexible line with spouts all along the lawn. screw wasting water and running out every 10 mins to move the sprikler.
do it now, it makes it easier come spring otherwise you'd eat gun w/ more dethatching in the spring
