I learned something today.
I wanted to hit the s2k up with a quick coat of wax since I haven't buffed it since it's orginal detail back in early July.
Anyway...I washed the car as usual and thought I would wipe it down with a quick detailer..I have been using the Mothers maroon/redish spray bottle, the one that comes with the claynbar kits.
Well I recently switched the Meguirs Ultimate Quick Wax, comes in a black bottle. I decided to wipe it down with that, get the dust off before I would seal/wax it.
I buffed on my NXT sealer and as I am wiping it off, it was like sandpaper. Evidently the wax from the detailer balled up on me when I buffed my sealer on.
So I figure I will have to wash it again, quick clay and then reseal it..
It still looks shiney, but has lost that soft feel to it...
Made me sad...

Not necessarily. You can use QD whenever you see fit, as long as the finish it's too terribly dirty. It does work best after a fresh wax job, but Ive never experienced what youre talking about before Adam. That seems sorta odd.

I hadn't either. I had sprayed it on thinking it would help wipe off any dirt/etc, thinking I could skip a few steps..just reseal and wax.
I'm thinking it didn't have time to setup or the heat generated from the buffer jacked it up somewhow...
Just something to watch out for.

Were you doing this in direct sunlight by chance? If so, then don't. It prematurely dries up the wax/polish and you won't be able to spread it/work it in.
