everblink961 everblink961 Newbie Registered: 09/13/06 Posts: 14 Loc: IN	so as far as i know i hooked everything up right the car starts kinda rough and then if i go to give it gas it dies out. i dont know what im a missing if any thing for the car to run i thought i would just be able to use all the si stuff if im wrong please please tell me thanks

Slurp56 Slurp56 Post Master Sr Registered: 05/28/00 Posts: 9676 Loc: S21	Are the plugs for your MAP and TPS sensors reversed? They are both the same shape/size and are interchangeable.

Even if you dont have the CKF sensor on the new motor, it should still run, just you'll have a CEL. What year head, block, distributor, and ECU are you running? Are you able to get the motor to idle, or does it run bad all the time?

Slurp56 Slurp56 Post Master Sr Registered: 05/28/00 Posts: 9676 Loc: S21	Kind of weird deal, What CEL's is it throwing now? There aren't a whole lot of reasons why the motor would stall only when loaded, usally air starved/restricted or the MAP and TPS plugs are reversed as I suggested above. The next steps I would take would be to verify the firing order is correct, check the ignition components, and for good measure I'd compression/leak test it.

Where is your MAP sensor located? Is it on the stock Throttle Body location? Pull the throttlebody off of the intake manifold and compare the AEBS manifold to the stock one. Are all the same ports/passages in the manifolds? I'm thinking that maybe the MAP sensor isnt seeing manifold pressure. Though, I've never had my hands on an AEBS manifold either.
