Was inevitable lol surprised they were still open last couple of weeks. Sounds like they just wait until hospital gets to capacity. Lockdown. Open back up premature. Rince and repeat

seriously
Whatever a "full lockdown" is, everything is back to normal and we are in lockdown now lol. No one gives a fuck, I wish we would stop pretending and just accept that everyone is for themselves and we take on the risk of our actions.
Some of my buddies still go to a gym that's in "lockdown" they have to park out back (it's pretty bait with a line up of range rovers, but that's another story) and have a deal with the owner to workout as long as they wear hardhats and LED flashlights on their heads + vests. If by law/police come, they are "maintenance" workers.
This whole thing is a joke.

Hamilton getting locked down on Monday. Still open for business here in Niagara. Wife's hospital has 22 COVID patients and thats only because the other 3 hospitals send them all to the big one lol.
She gets a laugh when she sees the headlines about the ICUs being full. Yup they are full all the time regardless of COVID. There's lots of other sick, injured, old and dying people out there.

how can you lock down northern ontario. that's ridiculous.
snipped from reddit
Thunder Bay reported 18 new cases yesterday. That's the same per capita as 474 new cases in a day in Toronto. Timiskaming reported 7 cases today, which would be like 615 in Toronto.
There is no region of Ontario that's in good enough shape to get through the expected Christmas and New Year's surge safely with only light restrictions.

Didn't expect them to be full, relying on titty report from NYGH which doesn't seem to be full.

I'm starting to scale back on 'heading to the park' with the toddler ... All the white folk stand around without masks thinking "We are 6-ft apart", and the handful of indians walk around you like you're invisible...
Plus the toddler goes on tantrum when we leave

I know a group of people who went to Thunder Bay area for hunting. Think they rented a cottage.

I just read the new lockdown rules, this is going to suck. Guess we have to stand in line to buy groceries over the winter, capacity allowed dropped from 50% to 25%. Was that REALLY the fucking problem? God damn imbeciles. Grocery shopping was a cluster fuck when this started, let's make it worse.

Hoarding level Asian, here we come ...
I've been telling the wife we need to begin 'hoarding' bulky items like TP/paper towels since you can only buy 1 big one per trip at Costco ... (by 'hoarding, I mean pick them up every other trip, so you have ~6 mth supply, not 30 years.)
My parents hoarded so much that when I moved out, and grabbed a good portion of their stash, I was able to survive ~5 yrs without EVER purchasing: toilet paper, paper towels, or facial tissue The gf at the time was using the TP and was like wtf, this shit just disintegrates in my hands, look at all this fuzz .... I didn't even pull out the pastel-coloured TP
You are all about to get a taste of USSR line ups from the 90's.
