To NSX-T or not to NSX-T???
It's always been a childhood wet dream. I would be getting rid of the M3 for this? What to do!!! Yeah NSX-T is faplicious. Is it a US car? (not that it's worth buying there anymore given our shit dollar now). Dooooo iiiiit...if you can give up the room of the M that is. Is it a 95/96 3.0L car or a 97+ 3.2L I assume it's not an 02+ as those are still pricey.
There's 3 on trader that I'm considering.
'91 21,000kms '91 103,000kms '95 80,000kms
Targa would be cool, but I prefer black top and it's the Senna one after-all. Any known issues with these? They seem pretty bullet proof. Too bad the dollar sucks a bag of dicks right now otherwise options are so much better.

Snap ring is the one the NSX guys will tell you ZOMG RUN AWAY FROM.
In reality it's a non-issue at this age.
http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Troubleshooting/transmission.htm
As for overall reliability, my car had almost 160K kms on it, and the new owner drove it from Toronto to Calgary without a single issue.

Did you start a new milk thread of the NSX replacement? Just wondering

Yup, was time to change it up after 6 years. Only having room to store one car is a bummer
Power was meh at best. Gears are really long on the 5-speed which doesn't help. 6-speed swap, or a different final drive would have helped but I was too much of a purist and didn't want to get into doing those kinds of mods.
The sound and handling were addictive though, and there's very few cars out there that look as gorgeous as the NSX does. Never took it out without being flooded with thumbs-up and compliments about it.

LOL at 0-60 XD XD XD The other difference is in-gear acceleration. It will absolutely not compare to the M in that department. Straight line is only a part of the story doe. Who knows, NSX might even drive better than a BRZ

The power part is what I'm afraid of. I don't need the car to be stupid fast, but at least feel exciting when it climbs the revs. Like the M, it keeps pulling all the way to 8400 and sounds amazing doing it. To me it's not fast, but ample power to keep it fun.
The '91 NSX is easily 1+ second slower to 60, man that would be noticeable. I really need to drive one to see though.
Easy there Lewis Chinamilton

to Jon's credit, he hated the s2k for the lack of power. but oddly, he likes the m3...and it delivers power identically IMO. So how the NSX will fare remains to be determined.

300lb ft for 1000lbs more. Meh. How much torque does it actually have over the max? I bet they may not feel too different when you are really wringing the thing out. Eds car feels similar to my car despite being down lots of torques too XD brz is benchmark

Seen an all black one on the road, It looked sleek. Didn't even notice the grill, but I'm sure Mugen/Honda will have a sports version for the JDM market.

TORRANCE, Calif., Oct. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Acura NSX has been named Road & Track's 2017 Performance Car of the Year, besting eight of the world's finest sports cars by exhibiting a potent mix of performance, style and emotion.
The Acura NSX won this year's competition largely thanks to its unique driving experience. According to the feature in Road & Track, "For the first time in a hybrid automobile of any price or capability, technology has been placed firmly in the service of emotional involvement rather than in place of it." The magazine goes on to say, "Everything about the car—from the way in which the brake-by-wire pedal lengthens its travel when the brakes are hot to the manner in which the mid-mounted V-6 permits itself a bit of the ol' barbaric yawp when it's winding out in fourth gear—is intended to enhance the driver's involvement."
Acura NSX Named Road & Track 2017 Performance Car of the Year "Every aspect of the new NSX—acceleration, braking and cornering—is a precise, new experience," said Jon Ikeda, vice president and general manager of Acura. "Having the NSX recognized by Road & Track's esteemed group of evaluators is not only a great honor for the car, but a testament to the skill, determination and challenging spirit of our team—we are immensely proud."
Now in its fifth year, Road & Track's Performance Car of the Year award is chosen based on testing that takes place over the course of four days, two of which are dedicated to the back roads of Kentucky and Tennessee and two of which are spent on track at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
To be considered for the competition, cars need to be brand new or significantly revised for 2016. During the four-day testing process, the Road & Track editors and writers evaluate each car based on a combination of emotion, performance and value.
For the performance evaluation, editors take note of acceleration, braking, handling, shift points, sound level and weight, accounting for the weather conditions present during testing. They also evaluate the engine, transmission, drivetrain, steering, tires and brakes.
The 2017 NSX launched in the spring, challenging conventional supercar thinking with a three-motor, 573 horsepower, twin-turbocharged Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) powertrain[i]. Produced exclusively at the Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio, the Acura NSX is the only supercar manufactured in America[ii].
The 2017 Acura NSX that won the competition featured Valencia Red Pearl Exterior paint with Semi-Aniline Red Leather and Alcantara® Power Seats, the Carbon Fiber Exterior and Interior Sport Package, Premium Audio, Signature Y-Spoke Wheels, Carbon Fiber Roof and Rear Decklid Spoiler, Carbon-Ceramic Rotors with Black Brake Calipers, Pirelli Pzero Trofeo R 245/35ZR 19XL front tires and Pirelli Pzero Trofeo R 305/30ZR 20XL rear tires. The MSRP of the tested 2017 Acura NSX was $201,160. The 2017 Acura NSX starts at $156,000.
The Acura NSX competed against eight other cars: Audi R8 V10 Plus, BMW M4 GTS, Corvette Grand Sport, Jaguar F-Type SVR, Lotus Evora 400, Mercedes-AMG C63 S, Nissan GT-R NISMO and Porsche 911 Turbo S.

I'm sure Mugen/Honda will have a sports version for the JDM market and Nextmod will have a knockoff a week later for the CDM market. Fixed
