Awesome 5k time man. How long have you been running? Going under 20 would be a great accomplishment.
I started training a little more than a month ago for a 5k coming up at the end of the month. While training the fastest 5k I've ran is 23.10, I hope to take it under 22 for the race.
My workouts over 15 years; I used to jog after my sparring sessions. So i really never focus on running for good times until this past year. Sad to say...I feel 10000x stronger at my age than I did 10yrs ago.

Well, after you all know, after taking 4 days off, I turned around and ran my best 1.64 mile time, in a total of 16:43 and shaving off 1:03 in the process. I thought to ease back into things and do the best for my legs so since then Ive taken two night off, and Ill be back at it tomorrow. Can't wait!
-Matt I took that 16:43 and said SHOVE IT! I ran the 1.64 mile loop in an awesome (for me) 15:30. I know Ive been seeing 1:00+ time improvements, but that is going to be slowing down now after this time. Ill still be able to improve, but not nearly as fast. I didn't walk near as much and I even threw in a ~40 yd uphill sprint. Im SO pumped! -Matt
15:30 say bye-bye. Clocked out a 15:05 tonight. It was just "one of those runs". It begin with a warm evening, then a thunderstorm popped up out of nowhere and I got 100% soaked all the while running faster and faster like someone was just pushing me to go faster than I have before. Everything just clicked. I know its slow for some of you guys, but considering my first run this summer was an 11:30 minute mile (thats so embarrassing), Ill take a 15:05 1.7 miles any day of the week! I might go out and run a mile tomorrow just for time sakes. Gosh Im stoked!

Ran 6 miles this morning in a 7.51/mile pace. It was hot as shit this morning too, I'm going to have to start waking up earlier. I've got another 3 in the morning.

Just got back from my run a little bit ago. I ended up running 3.2 miles in 23.30 or a 7.20/mile pace.
You can check out all of my runs at here. This site is great to use with Nike+ it gives much more accurate graphs of your charts.

Same loop, 15:13. Im happ with this although I was REALLY wanting to break into the 14's. I had a real greasy pizza for dinner about an hour or so beforehand, so considering that Im pleased with my time. I got home and I realized for the first time that I really wasn't all that winded/tired. What a great feeling! How long should I go before upping my distance? It's been about ~3 weeks now with the same distance.

I'd say go ahead and up the distance next time you run. If you finished without being winded go ahead and add maybe .5 miles or a little more.
Just got back from running 9.42 miles in a 8.12 pace. I'm a little disappointed in the time, I wanted to dip below the 8.00 pace, but maybe next time.

I took a few days off this week and it actually made my times better. My first run with taking a few days break was 6.7 miles with a 7.48 pace and then tonight I only ran 2.75 miles with a 7.06 pace. I think I could have finished a 5k in the pace I was going tonight. Hopefully I can keep that pace on Aug 30 for my actual 5k.

6.2 miles in 48 minutes, not bad for running in chucks with no socks after about 4 beers heading home from a friends
only about 3 blisters to show for it.

Ran 2 miles in 13.54 tonight. I was pretty happy with that.
Tomorrow I've got 5 and I'm going to try to break a 7.45/mile pace

Dang, that's impressive.
Today I went running for the first time in 4 days (my longest break since mid-June when I began) and ran non-stop for 9:14 which is real good for me. I dont know the exact distance, but I estimate it to be ~1.2 miles or so. It felt SOOOO good to go back out and run again...
-Matt
add four more miles to that.
ran them shits after a somewhat lengthly discussion that i knew i couldnt fall asleep from

Just got back a while ago and wouldn't you fucking know it I missed my goal by only a few seconds. I ran 5.1 miles with a 7.46 pace when I wanted a 7.45. I know its only a few seconds but it was just a goal I wanted to meet for the day.
