gettin there. I want to add 5 pounds of muscle (at 160 right now). My biggest issue has been trying to make my chest more flat. I been doing tons of incline, but I cant seem to get the growth I want on my upper pecs.

decline, doesnt that work the lower part of your pecs really? I feel like i have a saggy chest, I want to fill it above my nipples.

The progres has been slow, but noticable for sure - I weigh 10 lbs less now then I did a year ago, and am lifting more in pretty much everything, hell I couldnt even do a pull-up a year ago, now I do sets of 10 no problem.

I want to bulk a bit, but I really dont have any desire to be huge or anything, just want to be more cut and stay at around 5-10% body fat.

There are 3 major muscles in the chest area. The Pec Major Sternal, Pec Major Clavicular and Pec Minor.

Of those 3, the Sternals are by far the largest. You're not likely to see any development in the upper Clavs until you've developed the sternal muscles more. The Clavs are about 1/4-1/5th the size of the sternals.

Decline works both the clavs and the sternals, as well as everything the incline press works. Incline press just works the clavs. IMO, decline is superior to incline because it works more chest muscles and helps develop the chest much more. Your mileage may vary. But, you said yourself that incline isn't working for you. Try switching it to decline for a few months and see if that works better.

hmm..good point. I'll try the decline see what happens. Just trying to get my chest bigger, and a bit more of a V shape, but at the same time I dont want too much.

I think at this point I need to stick to what I have been doing, maybe try some weight gainer or just eat more, then cut once I start throwing up more weight.

good progress definitely. For something different, I am a big fan of weighted decline push ups. Throw some weight in a backpack, (put it on) and prop your feet up 30" to do push ups. Keep your back straight and try different positions with your hands to see which hits your upper chest better.

I do 3x9 of these with about 105 lbs in the backpack, (though I'm probably switching that to 4x7). It slaughters your core too!

I agree with eating more. It's winter... BULK!!!

if you gym has them, try ring dips. it really hits the outer edge of your chest to create that V shape
