I got a solid 10 in the 1/8th, What do you think that equates to in the 1/4? I'd say 15.5 probably.

If you ran 15.3 with full interior and on street tires; then drag radials will help. Gutting the car is not worth it it my opinion. I've done it and my times didn't improve significantly, you might shave maybe a 0.2 or so.

I wonder why you would say that? After the eigth mile, all the exciting stuff is done and I am just along for the ride, all I have to do is steer. The fun stuff is the 1.39 sixty foot and the 6.20's in the eigth... stopping at the gas station to fill up and driving the car to the track!

Just went back and saw your times:

Quote:

I/H/E, Nitto 555R drag radials, KYB AGX/Ground Control coilovers.

R/T - 0.018
60' - 2.297
1/8 - 9.813 @71.98mph
1/4 - 15.229 @90.36mph

Edit: This was with full interior, minus spear tire.

So you run a whole three tenths quicker than him, and you are giving him a hard time? That is basically as fast as my Explorer runs...

I gave noone a hard time. It was all in humour. And really nice to know your Explorer runs those times at the track, what are your mods?

Ordered with a 5.0, trans cooler, 3.73 limited slip, added dual exhaust with a cat back, K&N filter with a modded airbox, B&M trans controller. It is my driver when I am not in my company vehicle, and I use it to go on trips in and pull my Mustang when we are going to a race quite a distance away.

Your fear of "breaking something" might be the reason why you running 16s. Run dat bad boy to red line each gear without limiting and let the motor scream out.

The only thing you really need to worry about breaking is the differential in the tranny. Those are known to be the weakest part of the setup in the Si.

Feather your launches and come out of the hole easy, then give it hell to the redline. YOu should certainly be lower than a 16.4 with that setup.

My best has been 15.7@90 or 91. I have I/H/E. Cannot get below a 2.4 60 ft time though.

You know I think thats why my 60' suck too. . .my burnouts aren't really burnouts. Then again, I am so afraid of too much grip, with the torque, and the stock axles failing. Next time I go I am taking my headlights out and adding a velocity stack on the SRI, see how that helps.

14.8@ 97.3mph, with 60' being 2.6 latest run. This was with street tires. Highest trap yet, so with some good tires I know I could do a whole lot better.
