mapped my run on mapmyrun.com this morning and it was 4.5miles

going to run it again today and hopefully next week, i can jump up to 5miles.

within two weeks, i want to be able to run home from teh metro[new route. straight that resembles this in forms of terrain - \_/ - (straight, downhill, lil straight again, uphill, and then it levels itself off)]

did 3.75 miles on the treadmill today while doing HIIT... i was running at 8.5 on a 5% incline, and then walking at 4mph on the same incline... that's brutal... running uphill is a literal ass kicker...

back to running as of monday..been taking it easy this whole week

tried running that 4.5miler yesterday and noticed that either i severely fucked up something in my calves or by running a 3miler(23mins) on tues, 4.5miler on wed, and a 5.5miler(50mins outside) on thursday during the week before overworked my calves.....

i just wanted to do my 1.5 mile, when i hit 2, i still felt good so kept going to 3...

finished up at 3.25 in 30 minutes... i could have kept going too... i was proud of myself... that's the longest distance i've jogged in my life EVER...

Wuddup guys.

Just an update on my cardio. Not sure if you remeber, but a few months ago I was posting about constant shin splints and was running 3-4 miles 5x a week. Well, here we are now, 5 months later, pain free and running 6 miles daily, just about 10k. Addicted to running now \:D

Sooo, I was entered into an impromptu 5k for charity on Thursday. My office had a team in the race and one of the runners couldn't make it so I said wtf and stepped up.

Clicked it off in 27.10 which is not to bad as far as I'm concerned. I dont run distance at all so I was surprised to even do that well. I ran with a friend who is training for a marathon so he really pushed me and increased the pace.

Might have to do this again

I'm posting this to shame myself into going faster. I did 4.2 miles in 41.09 Friday. Last year I could click off 5 miles in 40 minutes. Need to get back in shape!

it comes in time dude. no need to beat yourself up about it.

yesterday i did 5miles in 45minutes. my legs felt like bricks, my body hurt, and my feet were hitting the ground like i was dropping cement BUT you know what the good thing about it all was

1. i didnt stop running thru the whole thing
2. all the naysayers who talk shit about me running couldnt even keep up with me for a half-mile
3. it felt fucking good afterwards

like i said man...it comes with time and you will make it back if you stay w it

-take care

Fucking right. It was like 30 degrees here, so I went down to the waterfront after work to check out some tail and go for a short run.

I just got into a grove a clicked off 6.4k in under 40 minutes. Its the farthest I've ever run before, and it was a pretty easy run really.

Gonna be hurting tomorrow though for sure.

started back hard running again

bike - 4miles = 11min
run - 3miles = 23mins
bike - 2miles = 6min
run - 1mile = 7.30mins

threw up in the gym as soon as i finished(had ate 6 slices of pizza 2.5hrs prior) and damn near fell into dehydration & low blood sugar attack

going for a 5mile run today here at work

lawls. rode my bke to workout and we were doing a 5k "Race" lol. i havent run much at all lately so I knew i was gonna get pwned.

plus my shoes are two years old \:\(
so it started off ok, but is started to fade a bit 1.5k in..my lungs werent happy,(ive been lazy). then my lower legs and shins started to go(stupid shoes). but i kept on going. was able to pick up my pace on the back half a bit...even walked a short bit LOL pussy(had a stitch) . ended up with a 21 min time.

not bad for an off the couch 5k. get some better shoes and feel a bit better and i couldve easily hung with the dude in front of me who did 18.xx mins. first place dude who is a stick and quite good did 15 min.

5k is to far for me give me a 100-200m sprint and id destroy those fawkers.

then we swam a short 2.5k workout (with some race pace work in there). then i biked home.
i havent done much in the last month(exam time etc) so i was feeling like ass.

heh...

I played soccer in 5 inch grass and mud yesterday, so my legs were already tired. Today, instead of playing 3 hours of pickup, we played 45 minutes and then some Korean tournament team showed up and wanted to play us. We figured we were going to get pwned, but we ended up going the full 90. Scored one of the most beautiful goals of my life, but by the end, my calves were cramping up. I'm dead now.

Definitely going to hit the water and protein hard tonight. And maybe the ibuprofen.

Heh... Since I posted that, I've had a dextrose+protein shake, a pint of ice cream and 8 taco bell supreme tacos. Feeling a bit better now.

It was definitely fun. Some of those Koreans were whiners, though. Look, dude... just because I'm bigger and stronger than you doesn't make it a foul if you fall down when you run into me. That was annoying.
