Decided on Simply given how popular they are on RFD. Also cuz they $300 cheaper than even Costco.
Getting pricing simple enough. Online list. And confirm. Deposit. Done.
They fucked my staggered wheels by putting the wider ones on the passenger side.
Then after fixing that I had to come back cuz they don’t know how to use an air pump. One tire was 8PSI too low….
The guy was trying to blame the dealer for installed incorrect shit.
So ... summary is, if you're Risky, Tasty, or someone that knows their shit, go for the deals. If you're furball or iamfob, skip it....
Here's what got fucked up:
- installed my staggered wheels wrong. (rear wide wheels installed on passenger front/rear) ... the wheels themselves are staggered/offset different, but the tires themselves are the same size on all 4 corners (says so on the door tag too)
- after switching the wheels (and rotating the tires as they're directional), no one reset the TPMS again, so my fronts are reading as the left side front/rear
- tires were all under inflated by 4-8PSI ....
- keyed lugnuts were not re-installed, they were put back with the key in the trunk (which took me 15 mins to find)
... Don't need this kind of stress man. Next time just going to let the wife pay dealer prices and fuck it. (She will argue back with fuck winter tires, just drive on the all seasons.)

You can take it to the dealer, but you will just be paying more to play service center roulette. More shitty lazy techs than good techs out there, how do you know which one your car will be assigned to?
Tire centers use some pretty sketchy people for labour and dealerships will charge a huge door rate , but a low flat rate, forcing techs to rush to beat the clock.

Simply Tire changed ownership so it's not the same. Also, you are going during their peak time of year when they don't even answer the phone, so stuff like this while unfortunate is on the table.
I've used K&B Tire in Markham for anyone that wants a great place, haven't had any issues.
the furball & iamfob combo got an audible chuckle from me

that could explain it. back in the day when i had the white tlx i got my tires for my 20's from there a few times. never a problem.
at the same time i don't let tire shops touch the car. all well and good until someone somehow snaps a stud.

my buddy owns formula tire in east 'sauga if you need a tire shop. prices are competitive and he's competent.
Good to have options!
