We were planning to do patio dining but ended up indoors a couple of times and my wife managed to get covid. She literally just had a runny nose. The 1.5 year old, my 4 year old and I are perfectly fine. I did a rapid test 2x and negative both times.

On a side note, the East is nice. Nice to visit. Maybe too slow pace for me to live.

Wife and I are driving out East in 2 weeks, except we are not stopping in Montreal. We are stopping in QC, Fredericton, Halifax, Charlottetown, Moncton.

Any recommendations?

We had seafood back to back one one of the days and this place tasted much fresher than the other.

I'd say its worth a try.

If you've never tried the Magnetic Hill, look it up. I went and it was pretty trippy. That's def a fun thing to do.

14 of us from work met up for a bite Wednesday night.
So far 10 of us tested positive.
Those 4 who tested negative 3 of them already had covid

Correction : now 11 positive.

I am not really sick.
Friday I was tired than normal.
Friday night, sleeping I felt my body was hot but felt cool.
Yesterday just more tiredness and runny nose.
Today, less tired runny nose, occasional coughs.

My buddy caught it twice. First time was back in December'21, wasn't bad. Most recent was end of May and one night he was almost ready to go into emergency...
He broke out in a high fever and had trouble breathing. He's ok now though LOL

Frankly, some weirdos are freaking out about Monkey Pox more than Covid now...

With the crowds at Pride in Toronto, that actually might be valid...

There was nobody there, and the hill was mind bogging as I could not compute why I was going uphill. Thanks for the recos.

Meanwhile, I traveled 4,362 km and my TDI averaged 5.7l/100 km. I filled up my tank 4 times during the trip.

We loved every minute on the atlantic side, and we welcomed the slow pace of life which was a nice change after a hectic lifestyle at home.

Cool. Glad you enjoyed it. I was equally mind blown. lol

As for Atlantic Canada, the people there are so chill. I was at a random beach in the middle of no where and a guy came up telling us his life story about how he went from Vancouver to PEI and blah blah blah....lol

Just got hit with something last night ...

Was pretty laid back in the evening, not really helping with the kids' sleep routines, etc...

Then it hit me in the middle of the night. Sore throat, slight cough, achy all over, temp feeling elevated (but not enough to be a 'fever'.)

Today, feel worse than yesterday, skin hurts to the touch... 3 rapid tests so far, all negative.

PCR? Dunno ... I qualify for it last I remember...

my oldest is at school. She is vaxxed. We send her with a mask. So far so good.

I started to go into work as well. I am the only one wearing a mask in the office. My 4 year old does so I should as well.

Transit wise, seems like 80% of ppl still do. Its one thing to get it hanging with friends, its another to get it riding the train.

Went to Paris (France, not Ontario ) for a week, COVID (protocol) doesn't exist except on the AC flight and Pearson.

This past Friday, toddler brought something home, fever all day. I felt like shit all wkend, elevated temps on Sunday, rapid tests negative. Sunday the 1-yr old gets a fever all night. FML.

Don't think I've ever been so frequently sick until 3-yr old started pre-school....

What's odd is that you'd think it's mostly Asians that wear masks, if anything it's all of them whites and asians. I am at odds with this, I wear a mask when I am showing homes if it's required, not wearing one otherwise. Not trying to make a point, it's just an inconvenience especially when it's hot and I haven't been sick.

Might wear one in the winter to keep my face warm or do a B&E.

Was in Greece this summer and saw very few masks being worn.

For me personally, if companies require masks to be worn when in the office, isn't that a sign that the company isn't ready to open their doors yet? Retail is a different story, they need the foot traffic.

Caught covid (I think) Mar 2020, just before covid broke out. I didn't get tested but was bed ridden for 2 weeks with a slow simmering fever . Lost my taste for a year.

seems good now ...
