99 Civic SI timing belt replacement, please assist.
Ok, the wife's 99 Civic Si is at 114k and it's past due the timing belt change. I want to do this myself, maybe with the help of my neighbor, so I can learn in the process. How difficult is this to do? I'm pretty sure I can follow the directions on the manual, I'm just confused and scared about the timing, etc.
Also, I plan to buy the parts from hondaautomotiveparts.com, what do I need?

i would do timing belt, water pump, and tensioner. might as well do accessory belts while you're at it.
its pretty easy to do, just make sure you follow the helms manual and get all the timing marks correct. its just a matter of lining up marks on the cam gears and at the oil pump.
edit: if you don't have access to air tools, make sure you get the tool to get the crank pulley off.

Ok, I'm going to buy the accessory belts locally because online there are different ones that don't seem to match and I'll rather get them locally where I can return them if needed. I'll go over the manual and I'll ask questions. thanks.

The manual that I have is for the 96-00 Civic and the timing belt removal, etc is only for the SOHC Does anyone have the manual on how to do it for the DOHC?

I bought the Chilton manual from Kragen and it sucks. It just tells you what to do, but no step by spep instructions nor good illustrations. I'm going to return it.
