Yup, nationwide outage. I'm on Rogers for internet, tv and home phone. Bell with cell. My office is with Rogers so couldn't even go in if I wanted. Treating it as lite day logging in via cell to get some stuff out then will park myself in front of the tv and watch some media via hard drive. |

The younglings will for some reason remember about July 2021 or something, a whole day outage... This brings me back to 2003 power outage for days https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northeast_blackout_of_2003 From an impact perspective: - Home internet was awesome. Cogeco was fine. Work was basically a free day for everyone. - Few places I went to CC was ok, others were cash only. |

Home phone, home internet and cell phone were all impacted. My home TV was not impacted but I guess its cuz I'm not on the Ignite package. I went into the office so that I can get some work done. Most people took it as a day off (officially or unofficially) |

Home land line is back Wifi works for YouTube only. Can't web search any websites. Cellphone can make calls. No LTE unless I turn off wifi. But that's the only way I can use the internet and come on csi and bitch about it. Rogers should really let people have unlimited data until shit is resolved. |

Mine came back last night around 1030pm You probably need to clear cache or something. If you Youtube works, everything else should work. Some website didn't work for me last night either. Figured it just need to be reset. |

Still not working. Did multiple unplugging and resetting. Looks like I'm not the only one in the area via. reddit.2 full days no internet and I got an email from Rogers the day it went down about 5g lmao |

At work, none of the Superintendant phones were working. The patch line into Sunnybrook wasn’t working either so if I had a call where I wanted to patch for an emergency surgical procedure in the field, I couldn’t get through to get the authorization. It was nuts at work with no contact. But… beyond that, I actually enjoyed the release from my phone. |

I guess my internet is choppy as well. Watched the ignite TV in the browser and it kept rewinding itself and disconnected. |

Was heading off-grid for the weekend that day anyway so it wasn't a huge loss. But between relying on my phone for my driving map, heading to a pre-trip breakfast planning to be paid for by CC, and expecting ATMs and gas stations to work with plastic, it was a chaotic scramble of a morning. We got set back 2 hours, but once we were out of town and into the backcountry, it was no big deal. If it was a cyber attack, what a nice way to fuck everyone up. Just reminds me that I'm too reliant on this shit. My kid happened to have a paper map she got from a school trip and that kinda saved the day. |

This just shows how vulnerable Canada is. One major network down and the country is half crippled. Super fucked from a security standpoint. |
