SuPeR-MaRiO SuPeR-MaRiO Post Master Sr Registered: 06/28/01 Posts: 6466 Loc: Toronto, Ontario	Has any one been? Care to share your experience? I have never been and would like to go. Any feedback/tips/advice when it comes to buying tickets, accommodations, transportation? Am I too late for this year? Whats the rough cost per person look like when its all said and done, $3k?

You'll see the cars for about 10s per lap at best. Prepare to walk, a lot. Stay wherever fits your budget. Be patient with public transport and lineups. It's a lot of people to move around, so it takes time. At Montreal we chilled in the casino after the race, and had a much shorter line to wait through to get on the Metro in the evening. Montreal is cool because BYOB is allowed.

Post Master Supreme Registered: 02/20/01 Posts: 48205 Loc: T.O. - Canaduh	similar to what eddie said...montreal is a shiiiiiiiiiiiiitshow, but fun lol. leave lots of time to get on/off the island when you have to walk over the couple bridges. now that they've bumped the date up to late may, it is not as hot either so saves you the stress of that. ironically lately races been semi rain/overcast shitty, but makes for a fun race. _________________________ "Ban low performance drivers, not high performance cars"

big tuner big tuner Post Master Supreme Registered: 02/16/01 Posts: 20114 Loc: Oakville, Ontario, Canada	It’s an absolute blast if you’ve never been but can be a very costly weekend. I’ve been a few times and love the atmosphere. The city really embraces the event.

I’ve spent about $2000 back in 2023 for two 2 day tickets in Grandstand 12 and in 2024 I spent roughly the same for a pair of 3 day tickets in Grandstand 21 by the hairpin. Sitting in Grandstand 11 or 12 give you more of a longer view of the cars coming out of turn 14 (wall of champions) and then heading out from turn 2 (Senna S). I’ve also sat in Grandstand 24 and you truly get to witness the raw speed coming into the hairpin, how quickly the cars brake, and then how quickly they accelerate out of the hairpin. These Grandstands in my opinion are some of the best but I have yet to sit anywhere else at Gilles Villeneuve Circuit.
