I plan on lowering my '99 Hatch with a H&R sports or Eibach Sportlines, what I want to know is, am I going to need a camber kit? I am running 205/40/17 tires, in the last 7 months, I have only driven the car 2000 kilometres, so does not see the road a lot.

Is it going to eat my tires quick if I don't purchase a camber kit?

Would I be able to run without a camber kit but get an alignment whenever it needs it?

you're goin to need an camber kit. if you get an alignment without using a camber kit, your tires will last longer than if you didnt get an alignment.

It's about 80% toe to 20% camber wear ratio. Camber kit will definitely help, but routine alignment is the key. At an estimated -2* all around you're car is not going to be too bad. But specs for your car should be -2* to 0* rear, -1* to +1* front. Hope that helps.
