I was thinking about something like this
Okay, I'm gathering up stuff to start my P90X workout. I'm probably getting a set of dumb bells from a buddy of mine that bought them, but hardly used them.
My carpet is pretty thin at home, so I'm going to get a decent 1/4" yoga mat

We have a basement so at home I was able to fabricate something to hang from the beams but for traveling these work great: http://www.amazon.com/Lifeline-Power-Up-...2353269&sr=1-20
If you find that your door wont support or you dont want to risk supporting what you posted in OP then these might be an better option. Only thing that kind of sucks is that you are dragging your body up the door which adds more resistance .. might be good or might be bad depending on your progress. Also though allows for easier 'self spotting' too so that might be helpful for you.

I got mine from walmart. It has brackets that screw into the side of a door frame and you can take off the bar when needed. Cost around $20.

My local Academy has the Iron Gym Extreme for $30, so I picked one up. It holds all 146 lbs of me just fine!

Take a look at the owner submitted pictures of the iron gym on the amazon link. The bar can damage wood trim around the door, and the dry wall it looks like in the pics on the top of the door jam trim.
I bought a 1" diameter galvanized pipe, drilled holes in two 2x6's, and screwed them into the rafters in my upstairs storage area. Before moving this summer, I was doing three sets of 8 pull ups, chin above the bar, with a back pack on and 25lbs of weight in the back pack. Over Christmas after putting the bar up I did 10, 10, and 7, with no wieght, so time to start working out again.
