from all the dyno runs we have seen a 55 zex dry gets you about 25hp
65shot gets 30
75 shot gets 45

dave and I have seen many dyno runs with the dry zex kits adn they are very consertive it seems so many kids wont blow the manifold off

yeah zex really does not push to much with the shots, but it does seem to be the safest system.

I have personally only seen one blown engine from a zex but many many many from NOS and NX

if its that overrated can you run a 75 shot and not retard the timing and run stock plugs?

the timing varies per car i ran a 100 shot with out changing my timing but many others had to change their timing at a 35 shot, I do always recommed changing the plugs when spraying no matter what the shot size

i ran a 55 dry zex a long time ago. I/h/e, zex and a pair of slicks got me 13.6 at the track. was fun as hell. just keep the pressure up.

This dyno was done way back with 55 dryshot Zex. Basic i/h/e and with heavy-ass 17" 5zigen rims. The stock run seems really low but oh well...perhaps a shitty engine. To answer your question, you should get better than 40 wHP with just a regular dry 55 shot. Forgot to mention, I had a RPM activated switch to set @ 4000 RPM as you can see the jump from there.

that torque curve looks nice,

that header helped out the hp alot. the header on the si stinks and is a bottleneck for n2o powered cars, the exhaust is not that bad the intake helps alittle but not to much difference with a cold or hot intake since the nitrous is freezing the air

That is strange on my previous car 1999 Hyundai Tiburon I got 180whp with a 65 shot (I never had been brave encough to go to 75 ). And you can see a jump from 120 to 180whp. The trick is keeping the bottle warm.

iw as gonna say who cares about the whp...thing that make the car fast is the tq numbers u get.

we tuned my friends 98 sohc with bolt onsfields fuel controller, and a zex kit to 165whp and something like 150-160ftlbs tq w/biggest jet ,he made 126 or so before hand....he had MSD top o line ignition system that retarded the ign. when nitro armed.torque in seat of pants feel was mucho better

If torque is better than whp why Honda engines can keep up easily with cars with a lot more torque and the same hp on the same car weight. Why exotic cars have more hp than tq?

Torque alone dont do the work is a combination of both.
