dyno'd my car last night

B17 w/ first gen b16 pistons, CTR cams, s200 hondaa, intake, fully stock exhaust.

156hp/115tq @ 7200

I believe the exhaust bottle neck is stopping it from making power pas that.

Some impressive numbers up there, I have a fully built b20 block, and b16 head. Bored .20 over, sleved, stroker kit, pnp/3avj head, springs, retainers, cams, the whole works, and it put down over 230, I lost my dyno sheet when I baught a new computer, but it is was impressive.

These are pics & info on a motor that I put together for a friend. The setup has been in his car now for about 8 months with 10k on it daily driven on 93 oct.

Assembling the new ITR head....

Pulling the old b16

Crank & Mainbearings installed:

LongBlock Rear:

LongBlock front:

Lots of acura parts:

Dyno Sheet w/ good old florida intake temps & a 2.25 inch exhaust w/ a high flow cat:

Note: The sniffer/wideband wasnt reading partial throttle very well, hence the wierd throttle tip in. The sheet I printed wasnt of the last run. The last run was richend up a little more towards low 13:1 a/f ratio.

Specs are:
Ls/Vtec specs estimated 12.3:1 estimated compression ratio
B18a1 block/rods/crank
Arp rod bolts
CTR .25 over pistons
Ls headgasket
Brand New 2001 ITR head & cams
AEBS intake manifold & a 65mm throttle body
Skunk2 Cam Gears
Golden eagle lsvtec line kit & dowels
Chipped ecu running a custom program.
Exedy clutch w/ oem b16 flywheel
2000 b16 transmission
B&m fpr set at 51 psi & guage
AEM intake
Powersteering bypassed
JDM itr header & Greddy Evo Exhaust with a highflow resignator

How much power did that first LS/VTEC make? I'm curious cause that 1/4 time would be really good for what is listed.

RS Machines in Torrance, CA makes RS ITR cast pistons in different sizes now. 84, 84.5mm, 85...etc.,
they are basically the ITR piston but in larger diameter to fit larger blocks
hope that helps out

I dont know man the motor was just strong I guess its a JDM motor so maybe something else was done to it when we got it.I am planning on putting bigger cams and CTR pistons see if I can better the numbers but never know what I ll find when I pull it apart. The uncorrected HP was 198whp this was done with an open header but I dont know how much of a diffrence that made.
