I also heard they have these street cars that can go in any lane and if they break down they can easily get them out of the way from the middle if the street for traffic.
Also best part of it is that they don't need the ugly wire network in the sky to power it.

i agree with jeff. why the fuck do we need streetcars when we can run electric buses with less maintenance and no fucking with tracks/cables 1. there's no battery in the world that is going to be able to run the bus for extended periods. 2. there was an electric bus already...with cables lol

these new street cars = $6million...each.
each bus holds about 55 (without jam packing it) and the new streetcar holds 251. im not sure but i would imagine that upkeep on a street car is much more expensive than a bus aswell. it would also create more jobs for bus drivers over just 1 dude for a street car. also obviously they can move the bus to whatever route is busier or new routes.
but but but! we have a street car! just another example of the city's wants over the city's needs imo.

you guys complain about things holding up traffic.. what holds up more traffic, a single street car? or 5 buses?
just saying its not as simple as comparing a single bus to a street car... cause the bus will obviously be lower.
I never really had an issue with street cars, you know what lane they'll be in, and you can pass them easily after they start moving again, the buses i find more annoying when driving. i.e. them pulling in and out of bus stops, and the fucktards who don't realize the blinking lights on the side of the bus means the bus is changing lanes.
