spd-dmn spd-dmn Post Master Registered: 11/24/04 Posts: 2271	So.. the Si is a pretty decent car. I don't like the jellybean proportions. I'll never get over that. I don't like the split dash. The steering is shite. And of course it could use a bit more power, and esp torque, but it's not tragic. On the plus side, the shifter is incredible: precise, positive engagement into the gates, short throws, good spacing. And the pedals are very well positioned for heel-toe. I found myself goin up and down through the gears twice as much as I usually would, just for the fun of it. Honda got those things bang on, but in my opinion the engineers need to improve the EPS setup in a big way. And kill the jellybean. =)

High Value Poster Post Master Supreme Registered: 02/20/01 Posts: 47917 Loc: T.O. - Canaduh	yeah EPS i find is wayyy overpowered and you lose a lot of dat feel $\:\($ - but that's not to say "the steering is bad" because it is precise and the car handles/is nimble for a fwd (just see tracking it on top of street driving). just sucks new cars feel 'numb'. like i'll drive it here for awhile at work, then get in my typeR... what a difference. looks could be improved, the 13-14 models have been improved over that nasty ass 12 model, not by a huge amount but just enough. i think the styling is "ok" but nothing to swoon over. that light up shit in the dash is lame, but what can ya do. at least the 15/16 model(s) should be an improvement. though after driving our '13 Si here and there...i actually miss the 06-11 model $\:\($ - the watered down feel/noise of the new one is craptastic...u dont even hear the vtAk changeover $\:\($ - mind you more trq is ncie and it's a huge imrpovement over prior versions. you are right about shifter feel, always has been tops in the market, and pedals are bang on as well.
