Got pulled over today and long story short...cop took out the measuring tape to measure the height of my car and said that it is too low. I asked him to define what is too low and he said that the center point of the headlight should not be lower than 22". Mine was probably around 20-21 inches.

I'm just going to get the ticket signed off and pay the fine..but what is the law anyway? I have about an inch gap between my tire and fender all around and am running 205-50-15 tires.

Plus side of this whole thing is..he made me pop my hood and I have a JDM DC header RIGHT THERE..and he didn't say anything about it. \:D \:D

Although he did say something about the lack of the front license plate on the car, but didn't write me up for it. \:D

But he did write me up for my gay clear turn signals which I'll be changing as well since they're....well you know.

so any ideas of the ride height thing? I thought it was something to do with the frame of the car being lower than the rim or something?

As far as I know, what he said was correct. Google the VC that he cited you for and see what it says.

Sounds like you got cited for CVC 24400(a)(1)

Heres the CVC about vehicle height...

Thanks for the response JRSC. I'm surprised my car was THAT low. I have at least an inch gap in the wheel and fender well.

Appreciate it!
