im planning on purchasing a garrett t3/t04e in the next couple of weeks. i am stuck between either a .50 or a .57 compressor trim with a .63 a/r. i have a .5 bar tial wastegate, so i will be running fairly low boost. i was wondering which size compressor would be better for my application, or if there is a better turbo for the money that i should consider.

50 trim is nice.
the 57 trim will give you more room to expand on in the future if you want to up the boost.
they will both spool pretty much at the same time if you get them both with the .63 hot side.......
my vote is for the 57 trim.....you can make more power with less boost and still have room to grow later on........

i currently have a stock motor, but i am considering some gsr cams if i dont run out of money. otherwise, i may just run stock cams for a while.

I would recommend the T3/T04E with a 50 trim compressor wheel and a T31 (Stage 3) turbine wheel with a .48 A/R turbine housing. A couple people will suggest the .63 A/R turbine housing but it's not needed for what you are doing.
