Wow looks amazing! Makes me miss my SiR.

Wondering how this car would compare to a BRZ?

Just wondering since it would be crazy to pay 50K no matter what condition.

That's great! The car is meant to be driven, not a garage queen. Sadly there are a fair amount of ITRs that are garage queens which has never seen a track.

Keep driving it!

Brz is more entertaining and engaging in the twisties. Stock seats are much better for performance driving and the immediacy of the turn-in response is much more rapid in the brz—the front end on that car is wicked pointy.

ITR has a much superior drivetrain experience, is easier to drive fast and u can still hang tail with some proper braking (left foot or otherwise). Different animal. More benign and more fierce in the engine department. A lot more drama from the motor. Tons of character there. Brz has the better chassis though.

pretty much... if my BRZ had like a bit more power (and revved to 8k+), it'd be the missing part.

Ha thanks for the comparo on the BRZ I bet it would be close race around the track.

The Vtec crossover would be the missing part of the equation I'm sure.

Cool car man as you don't see many of them any more...and it should only go up in value. I miss the old Hondas I might have to test drive an EK SiR and see if it sparks the nostalgia.

stock vs stock, I think the BRZ would be a bit better in the corners...

That's one of the reasons why I haven't modified mine (other than better tires), its so stable/flat in corners/on-ramps.

Yeah RWD and more torque I wouldn't be surprised if it outran it at the track.

Can you upgrade sway bars to further stiffen or is it unnecessary? I have't researched the BRZ much.

for regular street use, I think its more than enough in stock form.

Like, I know its not a good gauge, but given how fast I can take those 270 degreen ramps (410NB to 407WB), vs what I could do on my previous cars (modd'd 240sx, CRX, etc).. its a big difference.

Holy shit that's like 100K CAD - Surprised the SiR's aren't going up in value. It was pretty rare, got stolen more than the type R and was probably 80% of what the type R was...Note I've never driven the type R so I'm magazine racing.

Post the graph dude. I'd love to see how the motor is holding up after 20 years of abuse.

181 whp / 126 lbs-ft. trq (lol)

i took a pic of the graph but it was quick and ended up bring all blurry, i have a printout somewhere i tossed in my basement. nice flat trq curve as usual and vtec x-over down at 5100 rpm where you see the power just climmmbbbb all the way to mid 8k where it levels off (redline 9200rpm) on shell 91 octane....love it.

195k on the motor but it's holding up well, does burn standard honda b18c5 oil levels lol, but nothing bad at all. running 5w-30 motul 8100 xcess. i'm tempted to try out 0w-40 NSX oil tho \:D

That oil is way to thin man! The car is old, you need a little thicker oil no wonder it's burning it off.

I tried every oil under the sun on my old LS motor before i threw in the built turbo LS engine and i swear by castrol sytec 10w30. was the only oil actually left in the damn engine, motul, mobile 1, and whatever else all burned off and dip stick was dry after roughly 2000kms.

Yup! I actually used to just run regular Castrol GTX 10w30. I always felt the car liked it the most, and it stayed in the motor lol Didn't burn or leak past the old gaskets
