Wow. I got to be part of a leg amputation. You’d think they’d bleed more. If I could do it all again, I’d love to be an anaesthetist.
It didn't bleed a lot because the technique was cutting edge?

Had to google what cauterization means.
But effectively, it's like welding your vessels shut as you cut - so you don't spring a leak and bleed to death.
Kinda makes you wonder if slicing through with a laser beam would make the job go faster.

Wife had a 3 year old that got ran over by a riding lawn mower. Shredded his arms and legs, back and head. Happened in 2016 or so. Kid lived but is a triple amputeee now.

My niece had a friend a few years ago that had a tubing accident out on a lake up north. Lost her leg (Got ran over by the boat) I think she was 12? Fucking unreal.
