CUV's make up for more than half of all auto sales in North America now. Who here still owns a car vs cuv?
Hatorade has x3 and beetle, Risky has venza and jetta...so even split between those two...
Would anyone even consider a cuv as their next car? what gives?

Hatorade the X3 is a CUV. Most cars on the road are CUV's. SUV is ladder frame....
CUV started with the rav4, which was called "cute ute" back then. Congratulations - you drive an CUV.

C != "compact" It stands for crossover.
A car based, raised height vehicle is a cuv. SUV is body on frame construction. Mostly offroad type vehicles.

X5 is a crossover. BMW doesn't make a single SUV. They did back in the 70s or something - via dihatsu or isuzu.

I guess I am the poster boy of owning CUVs (by this forums definition)
Personally, I prefer a sedan or wagon.
The x3 was wife's replacement of the RAV4 when it was written off by a red light runner.
The X1 was an unintended purchase as I was hounding for a certain M3 sedan that someone was not selling at the time to replace my dying 5 series. I was searching for a 3 series wagon but somehow this came up (impossible to find a wagon in manual). Wouldn't have picked this up had it not come with xdrive35 and M package (with suspension).
And yada yada yada - the M3 came up for sale 4 months after I got the X1 so I wasn't about to let that go to a stealership to make $.
Because of the aging factor. Wife jumps into the X1 (which she likes the zippy-ness of it) and the x3 is my winter beater. Just hedging my bets that the x3 will have to go soon and the M3 becomes the year round daily.

Actually looks alright to me.
Im considering one in the future (CUV) for a daily. Nothing too small though or too big.
X3 Q5 GLC sized. I actually like the GLC 43 suv
