"I’m 31 and make $130,000 per year. I could buy a house tomorrow if I wanted. I don’t. I’d rather travel, drink expensive wine and eat at the best restaurants. And I’m not alone."

lol are we supposed to be impressed with 130k at 31? no one has ever done that

Pretty sure I know who the guy in the article is as well, cross checking with some buddies but positive I know who it is.

Anyway, I don't blame him for his real estate decisions, shit is stupid.

The life he is living will be one of regret in the future though. The "high" will wear off soon, surpringly no mention of a coke habit l e l

I think it's a bit of a cop out. like, you're 31 and still have your mom washing your dirty draws? that to me screams immature and his spending habits show it. he will probably live out his parents and inherit his parents house but with the housing market the way it is that will be the new norm. I make half of what he makes and yes, anyone can go ball out with your cawk out, but then your one of those people who drive a lambo and $4.35 in the bank. whatever, to each his own.

Meh, Risky was making that coin at 31 and still building $200 carports. I'm not impressed.

I dunno ... it's fun to spend $7k or so on a vacation and not worry too much, but some of the restaurants and wines he mention aren't exactly all-out top tier. (i.e. if I can go to a couple of those restaurants, they're not that baller.)

@ Canadian Tire Options MC...

Welcome to the world of blogging, of hearing those anecdotal stories that were never told... Welcome, to the internets.

I guess he doesn't hang with IBs or DDSs much ... Those are the guys that really rake that paper in. (In my peasantly world at least...)

So I cross checked with my buddy and a middle eastern pharmacist in that age and area of Toronto is a match, but the rest of the story doesn't quite jive...I wonder how much of it is made up above and beyond (like the profession of his "brother" or is that really a cousin because he has a "sister")...so it's inconclusive at this point. \:\|

Just finished reading the whole thing.. Dafuq is up with his wood over Rothschild? \:\| I have a second wine Rothschild stowed away for a special day, but I don't see it as a bucket list thing ... (Perhaps going to the Rothschild vineyards etc etc etc ...)

I have a buddy popping Ace of Spades and other high-end booze with family over holidays and stuff, but he rakes in enough to support it ongoing... Moet or sparkling wine for my peasant tastebuds is good enough.

The euphoria will be gone when he tries to buy into a pharmacy ... especially when it's in butthole nowhere near GTA (I have a few buddies who are pharm boys; one works in UHN, the other and his wife run a franchise pharm, and contract work for a large retail chain.)

he's getting mad canadian tire money on his CT Options Mastercard son!!!!

if i was him, i'd ball an extra $120 a year (first year free) for an AMEX Gold to get rewards he can actually use to fuel his vapid lifestyle.

or go ALL in for the $800 Amex Plat.

i also love his definition of life experience is cabana pool bar and dinner & drinks on king west lol

What you don't see in that receipt photo are the gift cards and SPC card.
