What are you guys using? Can you recommend me something to use without breaking the bank? I hear about Bose blah blah but what else is out there that is comparable? Looking for something that I can use when in the backyard, picnics etc

Bought my wife a Sony SRSX5. It's small yet pretty powerful and not even close to breaking the bank. I believe regular price is $200 and got it on sale for $130.

+1 I heard it at Hatorades, its pretty good for the price/size. Loud enough to drown out Hatorade's voice.

I just picked up a NYNE bass about a week ago. Its loud. Its big though, so not super awesome portable, but most of my listening is on my deck, or in my garage. It sounds as good in my garage as my "mini"system I've had out there with those big bookshelf speakers.

if i was at Hator's place i'd wanna crank those speakers up as loud as possible too, just so i dont have to listen to him.
