***Update 3/24*** - Weighed in this morning at 225. Making that progress. Feels good to be at the weight I was prior. Now the journey back into the land I havent been in a few years in the 210's.

So while on vacation I went from 225 up to almost 242. So upon return I felt like a complete fat bastard and began to work out which was about 2.5 weeks ago. I am already down about 10 lbs and 3 inches of my waist. Please dont mind the white trash tattoos from when I was 18 or so. Going to start covering some up after I get back in shape.

I'm currently sitting at 232 but that's also very Hydrated as drinking well above 150 oz of water a day. My goal is back to 200 or less on a 5'8" frame. Below are and some progress photos. I am following a 1 gram protein per lbs and also doing carb cycling which consists of 3 days 100 carbs, 1 day 250 carbs, 4 days 100 carbs, 2 days 250 carbs and repeat. In addition I just started Jim Stoppani's Shortcut to Shred. Only 3 days in so far.

About to start kris gethin's 4 weeks2 shred. Keeping diet tight for 30 days going to be hard and the pyrmid design of the work outs is going to break me off. Looking forward to it.

Thanks Guys. Dont know if any of you have ever done the Kris Gethrin's 4 weeks 2 Shred of bodybuilding.com. Day one is complete and my food intake was 1997 Calories, 266.34 grams of Protein, 146.5 carbs. Great workout and did it break me off. Looking forward to the back and bi workout tomorrow.

Well as I worked through this workout it seemed pretty legit but just not enough lifting and i have kind of plateaud at 223. So am am ramping up the lifting and mixing in hit style cardio inbetween eash set suchs as 25 boxs jumps or side to sides on a step or kettle ball swings

Keep getting leaner but been stuck at around 222-223 for the last 7 or 8 days. Kinda been slowing down a little to allow my body a little time to heal as I pounded it into submission for over a month. Hit a nice Chest and tri work out today and will be making sure I knock out at least a hour of cardio tomorrow after my Back and Bi workout. Im sure I am adding muscle as Im slimming so I really cant complain.

What's the longest rest period you've taken?

Sometimes just keeping your diet in check and resting for a week with 3 days of medium cardio can get you over a hump.

Gains.

So what I did to get over the hump was to stop doing solid state cardio and started to mix aerobic activities in between each set. Down to 221 as of this morning which is progress. I am averaging about 750 Calories a day in burn from working out and normal calories deficit about another 1,000. The diet is pretty damn spot on. I might grab a piece of fruit during my high carb days. I think I was just sitting at too low of carbs for to long and pushing to hard. So the combination of carb cycling and doing hit style cardio has picked it back up. Ill be posting more pics at the end of the month. I can see the difference big time.
