While swapping out GPS units in the vehicle, I managed to kill the car in the process. The old unit was hard wired on the steering column and the new unit plugs into the OBD2 plug. I cut the wires off the old unit to get it out of the way. While the car was running, I was placing the new unit under the dash, the car died. The key in chime, instrument panel and ignition are all dead. I've checked the fuses under the dash and under the hood. What fuse could be blown that runs power to these things? I'm at a loss and I don't want to have a shop fix it when it's more than likely a fuse.

Sounds like an ignition fuse. You can have multiple fuse panels under the dash and under the hood.

Start testing everyfuse and see whats up
