I am never home so all we get is slips. I am impressed speed packages move. I got something from Montreal. The dude dropped it off in the afternoon and it was here the next day.

Don't think they are using planes to send a 18" wheel from Montreal to Toronto. Do you work for Canada Post? Thanks for the comment, you blow my mind.

Canada Post now has FlexDelivery ... a 'separate mailing address' ... they'll email you when it arrives. Not sure how much it costs though 
canadapost.ca/flexdelivery
The address is indeed a "PO Box" doe... so places that don't ship to PO Boxes ... you're SOL.

Defeats the purpose of home delivery...
Yesterday I commented to post office clerk how I always have to pickup my packages from CP but UPS/Fedex/DHL always delivers. Then she goes its because they are private. So does that mean crown corps should employ lazy people? How does all the other couriers make $ BUT Canada Post?

I've had UPS/FedEx just drop valuable parcels right by the front door, won't even try hiding it ...
As for CP delivery, when I go to pick up, the weird guy at the PO will speak out my name and comment how he knows someone with the same name... All. The. Fucking. Time. Maybe he "knows" them in the biblical sense 
Well it sounds like he handled his package...
