Teksavvy has announced they're increasing the prices AGAIN and I've started to shop around for other ISP to compare rates. I stumbled across start.ca, their prices are decent for what they offer plus free account transfer for the time being.

Who are you with and post your speed and cost per month.

Thanks.

I got as far as ordering TekSavvy modem, paying for it, and calling retentions with Rogers ... Then they ended up matching the price \:\|

I'm at about $125/mth for 450GB limit of high-speed, modem, and basic cable...

(Cable I'm considering cancelling it... I only really use it now for 2-3 channels, and I'm rarely home.)

I was with teksavvy until last year. I got sick of paying a premium for their service so I switched to start.ca, haven't had a single issue. I have no idea why so many people join or stay with teksavvy when the competitors are cheaper and just as good.

I'm with teksavvy & i'm pretty satisfied...

I pay about $45/month, I get 400gb/month and about 30mb down/2mb up... for the past 2 years, I've been using their Zap the Cap service, which allowed me unlimited bandwidth if i used it at certain times... which I definitely did.

They're stopping that service in January though, which is too bad; but I don't think I'll switch. I've never really had any problems with them.

Im looking into electronic box, but for those who is on electronic box - have you had any issues with your geolocation? The reason why Im asking is bc from dslreports - this seems like the most common issue on electronic box.

I switched over to start.ca on saturday, and the customer service is top notch. They called me at 2 o clock to let me know the cable transfer has been completed and I can connect to the internet. They also called three times (sat, yesterday and today) since then to make sure Im satisfied with the speed and to make sure the internet connection has been consistent with no issues.

So far so good!

I'm still running a older Rogers 150/50 package. I think after tax and modem rental I'm at about $83 per month.

Roger's data cap blows and I was with Rogers for years and it was getting harder to get discounts. Frankly, does Rogers ever call to make sure you are happy with the transfer and the quality of the internet connection?

What datacap, ignite unlimited 100/10 that I have now is cheaper than what start wants. I have that discount locked in for 2 years, and I just call them every time it expires and they almost always have some discount available.

I switched to teksavvy last week. Killed cable and now stream everything. SOOOO MUCH better
there was nothing on cable, now I never have to watch commercials, and can find damn near anything I want. Using KODI with the tvaddons on top.

For the guys with start, is it cable or adsl/vdsl?

The wife is harping to change our service since bell is jacking the price again.
