Not that I've read, yet. I'd bet they were playing with a phone, though.. plowed right into the back of slowed down, almost stopped traffic; with no brakes. When was the last time you saw OPP with a truck pulled over?

Trucks are out of control more than ever. Horrid driving all over. They aren't exactly in ferraris either,yet they try to pull moves like they are.
Doesn't help that most drivers are joining the trucking force with no experience in trucks, OR on the roads(and weather) theyre being driven on.

what i was asking is:
are there enough warning signs about the upcoming construction?
is there enough warning about the routinely-stopped traffic in the middle of the road, in the middle of the night, to warn upcoming traffic which is not expecting stopped cars ahead?
are the lane closures transitioned smoothly enough to avoid evasive maneuvers at the last minute?
etc. etc.

one week apart, late-night pileup, due to inattentive driving, in the same spot
to me that opens the possibility that more measures could be in place to mitigate collisions

seriously! on my way home there was this asshat truck driver, with an 18wheeler that looked like the carried gravel or whatever. anyways dude was switching lanes like he was cracking vtec or something.

Guy I know got side swiped by a brown guy driving a transport this morning on the 401. Can't say I'm surprised. Hit him in the rear and went up the drivers side, car is pretty trashed.

There's signs, and lit up construction signs giving warning two towns before this happens. As for the stopped traffic, it's a stretch of highway with no turns, no hills. You can see the traffic from 10km back.
This was driver error, as was the last accident. People are fucking stupid, too busy getting that photo of the sun in their mirror so they can be instagramfamous.

I've had to honk so many times at those idiots becuase they were drifting into my lane.
Distracted driving and large trucks = lethal combo.
They think we can't see them using the phones up there but I can see them through their own large mirrors.
