Thoughts on what transpired today?
Harper is a POS (check).
NDP or Liberals seem to be winning me over, NDP is really gaining more momentum than ever imo. Mulcair is mah nikka (for now).
Does anyone care? *crickets*

Harper may be the lesser of all evils. I will never ever support the NDP cause they are a bunch of spend-happy union lovers, and Trudeau has no clue what he's doing. As much as I hate the party propaganda on TV/radio, there's no way I'd trust a guy that has so little political experience and is just riding his family's name.
i hate harper cause of his foreign policy and dictatorship ways.
but fuck, everyone else will just raise our taxes.
i'm trying to figure out who's the lesser of two evils (harper/muclair).

What bothers me about Harper in particular is his lack of transparency, if it wasn't for him I'd probably vote conservative, but with that sack of shit at the helm I will take just about anyone else.

Are you kidding me? You bought the Conservtives spin hook line and sinker. Everything that Harper campaigned against in the opposition is what he did while in power. Canada today is not the Canada I wanted to immigrate to, election rigging, senate scandals etc. You are now a second class citizen thanks to haper's bill C51 kevin, think about that for a second.

I'd rather have furball as pm compared to harper.
To me it's always funny when people say "I won't vote for xxx because of xxx"
In the SW20's example, public unions won't go anywhere (regardless of government) so saying you won't vote for them (ndp/liberals) because of that issue alone, which quantified is like less tha 1% of the total federal budget doesn't make sense to me. Don't get me wrong I get caught up in my own personal biases as well (hating harper, but like what the conservatives stand for) still muddies the water. Unfortunately soooo many people make their voting decisions based on ridiculous premises. That probably explains why we are where we are now. 
"oh he will raise property taxes" - will not vote (meanwhile other parties are tabling it as well, but some dumbass won't vote for xxx because of that ONE single item, which is what $100/year more yet provides accountability and justification). There are so many examples where people get caught up on petty shit and miss the big picture, such is life doe.
Harper has a solid track record of dodging difficult questions, avoiding answering, or simply regurgitating some bullshit where he never answers exactly what he was asked, that really bothers me. Trudeau and Mulcair face questions head on and own it, Trudeau in particular. I'd rather have that any day of the week than some piece of shit who is constantly worried about his shitty "hair style" than what people want answer to.

Not saying I will vote for Trudeau ...but that whole angle makes no sense what soever.

I like Mulclair as a person but I'm not a fan of the NDP's policies. They're just not what we need right now.
So... realistically, if I deeply scrutinize all the parties, it'll be Liberal.
I wish we had a republican system so we can vote for MP, Senate and the PM separately. Mulclair for PM, Liberal for the house and NDP in the senate.

I've finally understand why my dad, who was an otherwise very engaged individual, didn't vote. It's all false hope. Even if your guy wins, it means very little because they lie, they fight, they forget, they get lazy, they take too long. Voting is for idealists who think they actually have a voice, and that their voice gets heard. That's the reason why Rob Ford was so popular despite his arrogance and stupidity.
I want to believe, but my cynicism might have finally gotten the better of me and I may sit this one out. Maybe the green party can put together something that looks halfway respectable to gain some traction ...

What he said! Whe nthe voting numbers come out and they're lower than the last election, it just encourages people to not bother. That's the way we should be going.
And if you really want to toss your vote, vote for marijuana party! You're saying : I'd rather get stoned than deal with any of you Cons, Libs or Dems.
