Today's weigh in

216.6 lbs

I figured once a couple of days passed after Sundays big cheat day I'd go down a bit. 1 more lb to hit my yearly goal of 215. Might as well aim for 214 by the first.

Yeah... so after weeks if not months (besides last Sunday) I had back to back cheat days. Damn did it feel good but I feel like shit. Feeling bloated but to be expected from Chinese food. Gained about 8lbs lol. Water + high sodium so I'm hoping I can still make it to 214 by the first.

Seriously fuck this cut. It's been months. \:\/

I need to set shorter goals. 10lb 20lbs 30lb. I need to reach 180-185 so I can get on a surplus and do a recomp. But this sucks.

Back down to 216 after those 2 consecutive cheats days. 3 days left to reach 214-215.

2015 final weigh in

215 lbs.

I set out to reach 205 at the beginning of the year, and I could have reached (and possibly lower) it had it not been for my own setbacks.

I remember someone (Art maybe?) told me I needed to drop at least a 100lbs lol I thought, fuck that guy but he was damn near spot on.

300lbs > 215
40%+ bf > 25% or so

I've definitely lost a lot of strength but I guess that was to be expected. I'm sure it'll come back quickly once I'm ready for it.

2016 goals
Drop to ~12% bf (175-180) and do a bulk/body recomp for a few months. I figured I would be comfortable gaining 20-25lbs from that point and still be ok. Anyone have some input?

Thank you all for the support.

Weigh in

212 lbs

Haven't really moved much as I've taken this past week and a half to just relax. Still watch what I eat but haven't been in the gym in about a week.

Well the scale read 210.6 but I'm just rounding it to 211. 3 days to go to the 15th where I'm aiming for 209-210.

Yeah... gained about 2 lbs. But I feel better now since the past few months have been brutal.

Weighed in at 213 lbs this morning.

Aiming for 210 by Feb 1st.

I did run for the first time in a while and was able to knock out 3 miles in slightly under 30min. A bit more running and I'm sure 25min is doable in a short amount time.

I know weight fluctuates depending on what you eat and when you weigh yourself. And I may be getting excited for nothing but weighed myself this morning and came in at 209.9 I had been eating a bit sloppy for about 2-3 weeks or so but I still counted calories.

It's only been about a week or so that I got back on track but that just means going back to what I eat every day. I guess I'll find out on by the 1st where I stand.

Maybe it was just all the crap leaving my system. Lol

209 lbs

About 19 lbs left to hit my goal. Almost there. Total loss for the month was only 6lbs. Definitely could have been more but whatever. Aiming for 205 by the 15th.

Weight is 207 lbs.

I want to say I see a difference from 215 but I see myself every day so maybe I don't see it much. I read that between 15%-20% body fat losing a few lbs there really isn't much of a difference visually.

205

So I hit my goal early that was scheduled for the 15th. It could be that the beers I had last night could have dehydrated me a bit so I'll weigh in again by the 15th.

Side note, I tried to lift a bit and I lost a significant amount of strength. These large calorie deficits have taken their toll. But I'm pretty close to my end goal so I figured my strength will be back up once I'm eating in a surplus again.

Back up to

205

I have not consumed more than my alloted calories. I have been changing up what I've eaten and maybe sodium is higher in these foods? Waist did go down a bit even though I'm at the same weight. I did start lifting a bit again.

I'm going to imcrease my calories to be closer to maintenance for a few days and then lower them again to see if that helps with shedding the weight. Maybe I've really hit a plateau this time.

How much of a calorie deficit are you eating at? What calculator did you use?

I didn't use a calculator but I know my maintenance is around ~2400 after monitoring my weight for 2-3 weeks.

Usually I go into a 1000 a day deficit on average.

I would start first by logging every single thing you put in your mouth, if not already.

EDIT: Oh man that sounds bad.

Fantastic job dude! Your body is responding really well to the weight loss too. /nohomo I feel bad for so many people that lose a significant amount of weight just to find they have a body under there that isn't very pleasing to look at.

I need to focus on losing 5-10 pounds in the next 5 weeks since I just found out the wife and I are going to Mexico mid April.

I think my problem is that I've been pushing it in terms of how much I'm eating since I know what my limit is. Then I get to Sunday and it used to be a cheat meal but it's turned into a full cheat day. Up to 4k calories that day alone with no activity. Combined that I've laying off the exercise for the past few weeks has probably contributed to the slow/no weight loss.
