I just found out I do have access to Venngo/Workperks through my employer. I browsed a few stuff on the website, seems semi decent. But just wondering does anyone on here uses Venngo/Workperks? How do you like it? Is it beneficial? or is it a waste of time?

I have it but don't really use it that much.
A couple of times at some of the restaurants.
Most of times, you have to print the "deal" and give to the servers,
so it's not that convenient.

We used to use them, switched to Perkopolis a couple of years ago. I think Perkopolis has better offers and updates more often.

We use work perks / venngo -- usually use it for lunch discounts around our area.

Just cashed in on employee pricing for telus (me) and rogers (for da wife) on getting an iphone 6 -- just before the rogers / bell pricing got jacked up.

Nicely done. I missed the boat on that.

I dont have rogers, but I do have bell and telus. 60 bucks unlimited canada wide with 3 gb data. it's really tempting, but I consume close to 6gb and sometimes more a month on my phone. 3gb of data is kind of a deal breaker for me.

Now those Rogers/Bell corporate contract is only 2 years.
They jacked up the price a bit, but you get to upgrade your phone earlier.

They may not have jacked it up yet - go check (when I applied on April 1st [same day an article came out saying that Rogers and Bell jacked up the h/w cost] ); the corporate plans were still dated Mar. 25 and Mar. 5 (forgot which provider had which).

This was the deal offered for where I work (not sure if Venngo / WorkPerks get same deal for every company that uses the site):

Telus (employee only) - $55 / month + HST = 300 min. local calling (free evening weekend after 6 pm); 6 gb data -- 2 year plan; iPhone 6 - 64 gb = $278 + HST

(family and friends gets only 3 gb plan for something similar in price give or take $5-$10 more)

Rogers (employee / family / friends -- limit 1 device per employee) -- $30 + HST = 300 min. + $24 + HST for 6 gb (essentially $54 / month for the same thing I got -- but it has to be 3 yr. term)

h/w cost iPhone 6 - 64 gb = $378 + HST

A coworker tipped me off in that the site was tricky to navigate and most would go for the bundle ($60 / month for 300 min. + 3 gb data -- bundles are 2 year plans) - but there was the option of getting voice and data separate -- which works out to be cheaper w/ more data but they have you for 3 years.

I am with Bell and there is no corp plan at my work for Bell. My current plan expires Nov this year. Currently paying $56 tax in for a Gig of data. (enough since I use my work phone to do whatever) I may just bite the bullet and buy an iphone outright and not be bound to a contract.

All the new plans suck $$$ wise.

turns out that even rogers' was dropped from the workperk page, i got in directly going to the vendor; and now they reduced the hardware upgrade price by $100! ($280 for an iphone 6 - 64 gb). :p

the telus one went up $100 - go figure.
