Running tights, how do you wear them?

Seriously, I just picked up my pair.
I'm assuming I wear some drawers under these(I normally wear lined shorts).
Like it looks pretty damn inappropriate.
Like everyone will know if you're cut or not inappropriate.
Do I wear basketball shorts over them? Or revel in my inappropriate packaging?

I wear shorts over them and underwear under them. 
For the bike, commando and nothing over them.

Fwiw, I went out for a test run. Underwear, no over layer. Felt pretty ok. Didn't even think about everyone seeing my pecker.
Not sure if commado would keep the bits comfortable...
