So...
I'm expecting a bill for damage I caused to a friend's DSLR ... Yep, retard. Regardless...
I'm guessing a Canon 5D-like body, and a pretty nice lens (guessing $500-1k), vibrating on a woofer for about 2-3 minutes, and dropped 3 feet... Would this even be repairable?

Send it into Canon Repair. A 3ft drop shouldn't fuck up a dslr too badly however. I've done way worse to mine.

WTF is "5D-Like"?.. nice lens is probably 1-2k btw. snob will be snob. 50 1.4 is a nice lens, no? Slots nicely in that 500 to 1k range
Same with the 135L (used price that is)

5d..which version? it can be 1000-6000 for the body, and which lens? could be 300-3000.

No update. The couple went to Cali/San Fran for a short vacay... I saw some pics of him holding a big camera, but couldn't figure out which one. Dunno if they've sent it into Canon for analysis/repair.
I'll followup with a friend to see ... He was steaming at the time...
