Do you think I would get away with wire cutters and screw drivers in my carry on for work?

I've carried screwdrivers, multitools, chains, etc. in my carry on multiple times and they never said anything.

I just surrendered over $500 in tools. Most dangerous was a tap.

if they're important to you, for your trip or in general, i'd check them just in case.

it would suck to have an over zealous CATSA/TSA agent take it and not getting it back.

If they let Euphoric in the cabin, I am sure they will let other tools in too.

I thought Spark was a robot from the old movie and I kind of remember seeing him telling some engineer showing the equation for a clear metal that the guy would event years later - porschetr

Yep. I was too late for my flight (car rental agency opened at 5am, 5:30am flight) to check luggage. I flew there with my taps, wasn't allowed to fly out though. Said to security how about I just toss them here. They said I wasn't allowed to toss anything based on my own decision, they have to decide. Went through 7 people before all my tools were taken (again, that I flew there with).

check it, i lost tools as well. It was just a multi-head screwdriver. I asked what they thought i was going to do with it? Straight faced they answered "disassemble the plane while in flight"

Ended up checking it all into one of those big plastic travel bins with the locks all around. Cost us $75 but no issues
